I was on the imdb boards for batman begins just now and i was reading this topic about how batman is never shown being the actual detective that he is in the films. It would be nice to see him actually using his head on the big screen instead of just using martial arts to kick the crap out of people under some neon lighting. lol but thats beside the point i just found these two comments and i thought id share them with u cause they made me smile.

(This is inn refference to Batman being compared to James Bond in the new

film by having to deal with a villain wanting to dominate the world rather than just be a neusance to Gotham)

"The Bond comparisons seem very valid. While I don't mind them too much, I'm sure the sequel will get right down to the actual gritty Gotham business all the way through. I'm always much more into Batman dealing with someone within the confines of his own city, as opposed to stopping world domination. Not that he can't stop world domination or anything. (This one is self explanatory, and i agree with it whole heartedly)

With those quotes aside, as hard as it was, I did learn to deal with the whole Bruce Wayne becoming a ninja thing. Mainly because it explains how a normal guy could go from average billonaire to a billoinare who can leap off of buildings and kick someones ass with his hands tied behind his back and a blind fold on. I also learned to deal with the fact that they made Ra's Al Ghul is now some Japanese ninja guy, instead of being a middle eastern terrorist leader. But those were just minor draw backs. All i really want from this films is to have it as dark and gloomy as Tim Burton's Batman films, and to get into Batman's head a bit more. Like the thing i said before about his detective abilities, thats what Batman is all about. Not his fighting prowess or his acrobatic skills, or even his freakin cool ass gadgets. Batman is all about the mind. That is his most powerful weapon, i mean the guy is a freakin genius. He is incredibly resourceful and can think quickly on his feet, hell he would give MacGyver a run for his money. Basically what im saying is i want them to show batman put in more situations where he has to really use his head to get out of it rather than his fists. And showing him track down the badguys using his gumshoe tactics would be pretty nice to instead of him just magically always knowing where they are. I dunno maybe im asking for too much, but i just dont want it to turn into a movie thats geared towards younger audiences that are just looking for a flashy movie to take up two hours of their time. I just want a Batman movie that i can watch and say "damn that was a good movie," just like the first two.

Yeah, I know this is a random change for my xanga's layout, but for some reason I was in a Batman mood lately so I thought I'd reflect that on the site lol. I still cant wait for Episode 3 to come out (Joda knows im excited for that ), however the more Ive been talking about Batman Begins, the more im getting really excited for that too. I just hope it doesnt let me down and turn out to be some Hollywood sell-out piece of crap like AVP, T3, and the Resident Evils, lol and not too mention the previous Batman films themselves (excluding Batman, and Batman returns because tim burton is a dark genius). All of these films were jokes that should never have been made. Im tired of people in hollywood making shit sequeals and continuous movie spin-offs just to make a buck even if they are utter garbage. It's quite sad, but hey i guess thats how they pay the bills huh?

oh well, on that slightly depressing note lol i am off to sleep

ok well its been quite some time since ive posted...as usual lol

Well i just have to say Sin City was as great as I knew it would be, it definitely did the comics justice. It was so good that we had to see it twice in a row on opening day, and i very rarely do that. It is definitely one of my favorite movies of all time, tied in first with the crow. But since that has all passed, as u can see i have changed the theme of my xanga to what else... STAR WARS! lol i know im a loser but i just love star wars. Episode 3 looks incredibly dark, just the way i like it lol. I heard it may even get a pg13 rating! lol im looking forward to the extreme jedi violence. p.s. SIN CITY KICKED ACE!

Well I was working on this stupid soundtrack project for SFS, and I was like "hey I think I'll change my xanga around," and thats what i did.

So what may u ask is going on in ol' Jomo's life right now? Aside from continuing my thrilling work as a CVS employee and the usual routine of lifting, eating, sleeping, and going to school, I cant say much else is going on lol. But then again I've never really been one to get in depth with my entries and recount the goings on in my life. However I must say that I am truly excited for next month. Considering there will be pretty much no school, I am quite pleased. It starts with the HSPA's, then Disney, and rounds out with spring break. Good stuff. And to top it off Sin City is coming out at the begining of spring break. *In gay phone caller voice* Coincidence, coincidence?  well I must say RobRod picked an excelent time to release it. Anywho im tired of typing, I just felt like giving my xanga a new look anyway, and I ended up posting this entry lol.
